William Hague will chair US exchange operator's ICE Futures Europe unit from January 2016

Former Tory leader lands board role at ICE

Intercontinental Exchange has named William Hague, a former leader of the UK Conservative Party, as the next chairman of its ICE Futures Europe derivatives venue.

Hague, a career politician, served as a Member of Parliament from 1989 until 2015, a period during which he held senior ministerial posts including First Secretary of State and Foreign Secretary, as well as Leader of the House of Commons, Parliament's wholly elected legislative chamber.
