Why Wol Kolade is looking at China and Taiwan, not Russia and Ukraine

Wol Kolade, managing partner of Livingbridge, tells Mark Latham about his fears that the Ukraine crisis could escalate, why he believes in public service, and why PE needs to do more on diversity

As the crisis in Ukraine deepens, Wol Kolade, the boss of mid-market private equity firm Livingbridge, fears that the Russian invasion could embolden China to make a similar bid for Taiwan.

“Everyone is looking at Russia, Ukraine and the US at the moment. I’m looking at China and wondering what this means for them and Taiwan where most of our chips get made,” he says.
