Brookfield Asset Management has agreed to make an $825m investment into private schools operator Spring Education Group, according to people familiar with the matter.

The non-control structured debt deal for the US-based company is part of the investment giant’s wider push into the private education market, where it sees thematic tailwinds and opportunities to consolidate a fragmented market.
