WeWork parent sets up $2.9bn property investment arm

Co-working company is teaming up with a Canadian real estate company to buy buildings in which it operates

The parent of co-working office space provider WeWork is launching a new division to invest almost $3bn in real estate.

The We Company said the unit, Ark, will buy and run buildings in which WeWork operates. The company will fold its existing WeWork Property Advisors business into the new venture.
