Bruce Wasserstein, who quit as executive chairman of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, is to take over at the helm of Lazard.
Lazard said in a statement that Wasserstein will become "head of Lazard" from January 1. "In this position, he will succeed Michel David-Weill in his executive capacities," Lazard said.
