US schemes to join Ceres

State pension funds in the US are to join the Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies (Ceres), a US-based environmental lobby group.

The latest members are the New York and Connecticut funds, whose combined assets total around $120bn (€112bn). They join the New York City pension fund, one of the founding members of the organisation. Ceres members have more than $400bn in invested assets.
