More than a third of UK remote workers fear bosses’ spyware

A poll of 1,000 UK-based employees found that 38% were concerned about their employers spying on them

Around 40% of UK workers worry about their bosses spying on them whilst the work from home, according to a new survey from IT provider Intact Software.

The poll of 1,000 UK-based employees, working in sectors including finance, accounting, and legal, found that 38%, or two in five respondents,  were concerned about their employers monitoring their communications while they worked remotely during the coronavirus pandemic. Over a third of poll participants, or 36%, said they did not feel comfortable storing personal information in work communication tools, the survey found.
