The UK is still lagging the US in terms of shareholder accountability, voting and socially responsible issues, despite the imminent introduction of new UK regulations.

Sarah Wilson, managing director of proxy voting agency Manifest, said that, come July, socially responsible investing will be one of the most important issues on pension funds' agenda.
