Asset managers overseeing trillions of pounds are braced for an onslaught of cyberattacks from Russia, as City firms are being urged to bolster their defences following its invasion of Ukraine.

Amid warnings of a looming cyber threat from Russia, the Investment Association — the trade body that represents the UK's £9.4tn asset management sector — has established a discussion group to bring together cyber professionals working across its member firms.
