UBS’s wealth arm attracts $55bn in first half of 2025 despite ‘extreme’ volatility

US wealth business sees drop in net new assets in the second quarter, while wealthy investors pour money into Asia and Emea

UBS’s global wealth business amassed $54.8bn of net new assets during the first six months of 2025 against an “extreme” market backdrop which has stung rival wealth managers.

The Swiss firm attracted $23.3bn from its ultra wealthy clients in the second quarter, as markets were whipsawed by US president Donald Trump’s trade war, it said in interim results on 30 July.
