UBS eyes ECM gains after Credit Suisse deal and senior hiring spree

UBS has upped its ambitions in equity capital markets, after bolstering its team through acquiring Credit Suisse and hiring senior bankers across Europe, the US and Asia.

The Swiss bank is doubling down on its push to become a leading player in equity underwriting, setting its sights on a top five position in Europe, a top three spot in Asia and sixth place in the US, in line with broader ambitions for its investment bank.
