UBS splits global IT role

UBS has promoted two managers to run its global technology operations, replacing Philip Freeborn, who defected to Barclays Capital last month.

The Swiss banking group has appointed Neil Sarnak, former global head of IT for the fixed-income, rates and currencies business, and John Tumilty, who was global head of equities IT, as global co-heads of IT.
