UBS picks former JP Morgan loans chief

UBS has made one of its most senior hires this year for its European loan capitals markets business as it seeks to capture a greater share of the booming leveraged finance market.

Fergus Elder, a 23-year veteran of JP Morgan in London where he had been a co-head of loan capital markets, has joined UBS as managing director and head of primary and secondary loan, mezzanine, distressed distribution for Europe and the Asia Pacific region.
