The chair of investment bank UBS Axel Weber said he thinks any merger with fellow Swiss bank Credit Suisse could take years.

Weber’s comments follow the publication of an interview with his counterpart at Credit Suisse at the weekend who said the idea of a deal between the two was not absurd.
