UBS’s chief executive Sergio Ermotti said that “shrinking is not an option” for its investment bank after its dealmakers posted a sharp decline in fees during the second quarter.

Ermotti told journalists that UBS’s investment bank remains key to its growth ambitions, even as its dealmakers unveiled a 30% decline in fees during the second quarter.
