Barclays hired Alex Ham, the co-CEO of Deutsche Numis, as global chair of investment banking. Ham, who led Numis alongside Ross Mitchinson before its £410m acquisition by Deutsche Bank in 2023, will look to bolster Barclays’ M&A and equity capital markets fees.
