An influential lobbyist for the European banking industry – who had a leading role on the wide-ranging changes to the European Union securities rulebook – has taken a job at a bank.

Christian Krohn, a managing director at the Association for Financial Markets in Europe, is to join Standard Chartered Bank as its head of European regulatory reform, according to people familiar with the matter.
