Tom Hayes ‘always believed’ he would beat Libor rigging conviction

The former City trader says others convicted of rate rigging should also have their rulings overturned

Ex-UBS and Citigroup trader Tom Hayes says he always had faith he would clear his name as the Supreme Court quashed his rate-rigging conviction.

Speaking at a press conference following the ruling, Hayes said: “Today was something I have dreamed of when I was on awful prison beds and having left prison, I have continued to hope and dream for.
