US teachers' pension scheme TIAA-CREF has appointed Ronald Pressman as executive vice president and chief operating officer. In the newly created role, Pressman will help set the group's strategic vision and drive new initiatives. Pressman previously served as president and chief executive of GE Asset Management and as chairman, president and chief executive of GE Employers Reinsurance Group.
