Threadneedle wins £400m insurance mandate

RJ Kiln, one of the managing agents in the Lloyd's of London insurance market, has appointed Threadneedle Investments' insurance asset management division to manage about £400m ($669m) of assets for five Lloyd's syndicates.

The mandate win underlines the increased importance of outsourced insurance contracts for the fund management industry.
