Several Wall Street chief executives travel to Washington to warn the president about the dangers of the government shutdown

You know things are getting bad when Wall Street chiefs have to take the bus.

That is what happened a couple of weeks ago when Lloyd Blankfein, James Dimon and other top bankers boarded a coach for a short trip to the White House. Their mission: to warn the president about the government shutdown and ensuing politicking over the budget.
