SwapsWire starts operations

Fourteen banks and brokers in Europe and the US have started booking interest rate swap trades through SwapsWire, the electronic communications network backed by a consortium of 23 derivatives dealers.

Chip Carver, chief executive of SwapsWire, said $53bn (€53bn) notional value had been booked on the system since its launch.
