Stock exchanges falling short over outages, European investors say

Trade bodies urge Europe’s stock exchanges to improve outage policies after a series of disruptions

Banks, asset managers and market-makers have called on European stock exchanges to improve their management of outages after a series of recent incidents disrupted trading.

Three trade bodies representing major financial market participants in the region said “robust, transparent and consistently applied procedures” were needed to mitigate the impact of outages, according to a joint statement.
