Francisco Aristeguieta, head of Citigroup’s Asian division for the past three years and responsible for a third of the group’s earnings, has left to join State Street as the head of its international operations.

Aristeguieta will join State Street in July, according to an April 15 statement from the US bank and asset manager. He will report to chief executive Ron O’Hanley and take up a seat on the company’s management committee.
