State Street appoints Bank of England director

State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) has hired John Nugée, from the Bank of England, as director of its newly created official institutions group.

Nugée will report to Nigel Wightman, managing director of SSgA UK. In his new role at the official institutions group Nugée will market and sell SSgA's services to central banks, governmental monetary authorities and reserve funds. He will also be responsible for training and advisory services.
