Standard Chartered has raided Julius Baer for a string of hires for its private banking team in the United Arab Emirates.

The UK bank has hired Yahya Ismail as managing director and market head for Europe, Middle East and Africa, based out of its Dubai office. Ismail was a managing director at Julius Baer, and leaves the Swiss wealth manager after nearly a decade.
