Standard Chartered has promoted long-serving banker Roberto Hoornweg to sole chief executive of its revamped investment bank.

Hoornweg has been named CEO of corporate and investment banking at the UK lender, as his current co-head Sunil Kaushal prepares to retire, the bank said in a statement.
