Standard Chartered will offer equal paid time off to new parents, becoming the latest City firm to expand benefits for employees in a bid to attract and retain talent.

From 1 September, staff will be able to take a minimum of 20 weeks of paid leave when they become a parent irrespective of gender, their relationship status or how a child comes to permanently join an employee's family.
