Spring Budget 2023: Nuclear reset to ‘environmentally sustainable’ to bolster net-zero plans

Nuclear energy could be classed as environmentally sustainable under the UK government’s green taxonomy, the UK chancellor announced in the country's 15 March Spring Budget.

The reclassification, which Jeremy Hunt said is currently being consulted on, would allow nuclear companies to enjoy the same incentives as other types of renewable energy firms.
