Soros sells stake in Eircom

Morgan Stanley yesterday led a sale of shares in Eircom for Soros Private Equity Partners, the buy-out firm owned by George Soros, which sold its €24m ($32.2m) stake in the Irish telecoms firm.

The bank sold the remainder of Soros' 14.5m shares at €1.64, which was equal to Monday's closing price. Yesterday afternoon Eircom shares were trading higher at €1.67.
