Singapore-based hedge fund Quantedge has posted its best monthly returns this year in August on the back of winning bets across equities, commodities and currencies.

Quantedge, which runs a systematic quantitative investment strategy, rose 8.3% in August, according to people familiar with the matter. Quantedge’s year-to-date returns now stand at around 10%.
