Silicon start-up secures £34m in financing

Pure Wafer, a UK-based silicon wafer reclamation start-up, has secured £34m (€53.9m) in financing, including a £9.8m loan from IBM Global Financing.

The IBM loan is the largest made to a UK-based start-up to date and will be used to finance the purchase of capital equipment for a state-of-the-art plant in Wales.
