Shore Capital, the UK investment bank, has hired Stuart MacDonald, formerly director of hedge funds at Henderson Global Investors, as director of alternative investments.

At Henderson, he took a lead role in developing the manager's $2bn (€1.7bn) single manager hedge fund business.
