Shareholder pressure forces out VW's Piëch

Volkswagen chairman Ferdinand Piëch is to step down after shareholders slammed corporate governance at the company.

Piëch has been criticised for his dual role as head of the car firm and a controlling investor in Porsche, which owns 18.5% of VW.
