SG banker launches hedge fund

Pierre Schroeder, a former head of the New York debt finance division of Société Générale, the French bank, has set up Square Investment Management, a London hedge fund manager.

It has raised $200m (€170m) for a global macro fund which will invest in foreign exchange, equities, fixed income, commodities and derivatives in any market.
