SC appoints Nepali chief

Standard Chartered has promoted Joseph Silvanus to chief executive of its Nepali operation. Silvanus has worked with Standard Chartered for more than 19 years. Earlier, Silvanus was chief executive of Standard Chartered Bank in Afghanistan. Silvanus succeeds Sujit Mundul, who retired in May.
