One of the largest banks in Russia has hired a former executive from Nomura and Citigroup to lead its equities business from London.

Ronan Connolly was registered on the UK’s Financial Services Register with VTB Capital, the investment banking arm of VTB Group, on August 18. A spokesman for VTB Capital confirmed to FN that he had joined as global head of equities.
