Royal Bank of Scotland appoints Alison Rose as chief executive

RBS veteran and one of the most influential women in the City confirmed as Ross McEwan’s successor

Royal Bank of Scotland has named Alison Rose, one of the most influential women in European finance, as its next chief executive.

Rose, one of the group’s longest-serving executives and the head of its commercial and private banking division, will succeed outgoing chief executive Ross McEwan on November 1, according to a statement.
