Revolut was founded in July 2015 by two Credit Suisse staffers, Nikolay Storonsky and Vlad Yatsenko. They wanted to build a digital bank to challenge traditional lenders.

Nine years on, through several ups and downs, Revolut is one of the most valuable fintechs in the world. It's not just a digital bank any more. It offers trading, and has been expanding what it sells into other businesses too.
