Reuters, the global information company, has poached a Microsoft executive who played a lead role in the evolution of Reuters Messaging, to develop it and other collaboration services.

David Gurle joins Reuters as executive vice-president and global head of collaboration services. Reuters Messaging was developed in collaboration with Microsoft and launched in October 2002.
