Retail investors fall out of love with UK equities

‘After a solid run of sales, strong economic headwinds began to turn investors away from UK shares in June’, says IA

Individual investors pulled £1.1bn out of UK funds in June and halved their overall rate of investment — an indication the relief rally may be over for retail investors.

Net retail sales across all types of funds amounted to £2.2bn in June, compared with £4.8bn in May, according to data from the Investment Association.
