Refinitiv picks chief information officer ahead of LSE takeover

Data company agreed to a $27bn acquisition by the London Stock Exchange in August

Refinitiv, the data company that agreed to a $27bn acquisition by the London Stock Exchange in August, has picked a new head of the internal group that develops its products, infrastructure and technology.

Chief technology officer Phil Wellard will become Refinitiv’s chief information officer, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News, and lead a team of 5,000 staff and strategic partners.
