Railtrack standstill finally cleared by bondholders

The UK government has finally managed to persuade all the bondholders in Railtrack, the network operator that transport secretary Stephen Byers forced into administration last year, to accept the terms of a standstill agreement.

Exchangeable bondholders who had turned down the offer a month ago voted unanimously in favour at a revote.
