This year is turning out to be a bad one for some of the world's best-known computer-driven hedge funds, write Gregory Zuckerman and Laurence Fletcher for The Wall Street Journal.

Two Sigma Investments' flagship Compass fund is down 2.5% this year to May 31, according to investors. That compares with a positive returns in 2016 (10.33%) and 2015 (15%).
