UK buyout firm Stirling Square Capital Partners has purchased a Norwegian waste management company in a further sign of growing appetite for the Nordic region among private equity companies.

Stirling Square has bought SAR, a waste management company focused on the Norwegian oil and gas industry, according to a statement.
