Pemberton Asset Management is facing calls from Unite the Union for it to be kicked out of the UN-backed Principles for Responsible Investment scheme over how one of the companies it owns is treating workers.

Private credit specialist Pemberton has for the past three months been in the spotlight over a ‘fire and rehire’ scheme at Oscar Mayer — the Wrexham-based ready meals production company in which it owns an 85% stake.
