Pay triples for Babcock buyout head

The head of corporate finance at Babcock & Brown, the Australian investment bank, saw his pay almost triple last year after the bank reported record profits.

Rob Topfer, who runs the bank's principal investments and fund management arm, was paid A$14.97m (€9.04m) last year, up from A$5.1m in 2005.
