Pandemic hits gender pay gap reporting as 76% miss original deadline

Only a quarter of companies met the initial deadline to report their gender pay gaps this year, as the pandemic forced the majority to take advantage of a government extension to the rules.

The original deadline to report the figures was 4 April for the private sector. This was pushed back to October as Covid-19 took its toll on businesses.
