NYSE hands $140m to chairman Grasso

Dick Grasso, chairman of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), has been handed a $140m (€128m) windfall as he agreed to stay on in his role until 2007.

Grasso is to cash in $140m that the NYSE has paid him in bonuses, other deferred compensation and pension contributions in the past few years.
