New Italian fund of hedge funds targets €300m

Hedge Invest, a new independent Italian fund of hedge fund group, plans to raise €300m ($264m) by 2003.

The new Milan-based group will structure, manage and distribute funds of hedge funds with different geographic and sector strategies. The firm is different to many of the other hedge fund groups in the market in that it is independent, rather than linked to a bank.
